The Dallas Chapter of the United Nations Association (UNA)-USA was established in 1953 to further the United Nations' goal of preserving International Peace in the aftermath of World War II. Under the leadership of President Sarah T. Hughes, their aim has consistently been to act as advocates and champions for the UN's mission of peace within the Dallas metropolitan area.

For over seven decades, the UNA-USA Dallas Chapter has diligently pursued this commitment. They have not only upheld a foundational focus on maintaining International Peace but have also broadened their objectives to incorporate Sustainable Development Goals. And have achieved this mission through various means: partnering with organizations that share their vision, facilitating activities designed to raise awareness and promote open dialogue, empowering members to take action within their communities, equipping future generations for global participation, and fostering solutions through interfaith collaborations, bipartisan efforts, and cross-cultural initiatives.
