Yolonda Blue Horse (Rosebud Sioux Tribal member) is a co-founder of the Society of Native Nations in Texas, a group dedicated to advocating for Native people and the earth by helping to protect and preserve culture, spirituality, teachings, medicine, and way of life. She has been active in the campaign against racist sports mascots, and the leading organizer of protests at the headquarters of Dallas, TX based Energy Transfer Partners, the company behind DAPL.

Her activism began in 2000 with the murder of her child by a known child abuser of CPS. She has spoken many times at the TX state capital advocating for change within CPS and served on the board of directors for the only homicide victim memorial located Euless, Texas. From there she began her journey to become closer with her Lakota roots and is very active in the DFW Native American community and as a Veteran.
