The Dallas Peace & Justice Center is cohosting a very special benefit concert for North Texas Veterans For Peace on February 28th! In the spirit of community, we are gathering other like-minded local activist groups to cohost, help promote, and share in the proceeds. Tom Neilson’s songs provide a voice for those who believe in the power of folk music to effect change. Combining art with activism, he has shared a stage with Medea Benjamin, Cynthia McKinney, Amy Goodman, Cindy Sheehan, Cesar Chavez, Noam Chomsky, Ralph Nader, Ray McGovern, Howard Zinn, and others. Currently, Tom’s songs are focused on Palestine, immigration, racial & environmental issues, nuclear weapons, war and weapons-profiteering. Tom Neilson Let’s get the community together for some much-needed R & R! Join us for a music-filled evening of delicious food, good company, and fun! Award-winning musician and activist Tom Neilson, with Lynn Waldron, will entertain us with song, satire, and social commentary at a benefit concert for North Texas Veterans For Peace.
