Dallas-based activist Yolonda Blue Horse will receive the Justice Seeker of the Year award at the event, set for Thursday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in North Dallas.

Former Texas State Legislator & DPJC Member Lon Burnam featured in Esquire magazine article

Former Texas State Legislator Lon Burnam is known in North Texas for his tireless efforts to address climate change and advocate for peace and justice. His efforts are apparent in the August 30th article by Charles P. Pierce in Esquire magazine - while the obstruction of Republicans as climate deniers is also apparent.

This article demands accountability from Texas. State Government for the ongoing crisis in the Houston area and chemical explosion happening at a chemical plant. Former Texas State Representative Lon Burnam is mentioned multiple times for the legislation he tried repeatedly to put forth on having a plan for climate change disasters. It never made it out of committee because the term "climate change" was used.

Locals looking for more answers after Pantex groundwater meeting...

KFDA reported on November 7th. 2016, on how Pantex has increased its efforts to clean an aquifer on its property after polluting it during the wars of the 1900's. They held a stewardship meeting to inform the public about the status of the groundwater and the steps they are taking to rectify it. Several members of our Nuclear Free World committee were in attendance.

Dakota Access Pipeline Protestors Line The Street Across Klyde Warren Park...

Gus Contreras reported on Oct 24, 2016 for KERA that while hundreds of people were at Klyde Warren park attending a fundraiser, protesters stood across the street to voice their concern over the installment of the 1,700 mi. Dakota Access pipeline.
