A coalition of several human rights, community and faith based organizations in Tarrant County including ICNA, CAIR DFW, Dallas Peace and Justice Center, Rohingya Muslim Relief, Peace and Justice for Rohingya, BanglaDeshi American Women Association of Texas, Dar El-Eman Masjed (DEIC), ISAT, Dar Al Salam, Mansfield Islamic Center, Ibrahimi Masjed, Grand Prairie Islamic Society, West Creek Masjed, Watauga Islamic Center, Midcities Islamic Center, Burma Task Force and others is holding a rally to protest the ethnic cleansing of Myanmar’s Muslim minorities known as Rohingya. Many interfaith leaders are expected to speak at this rally.

The Rohingya people are stateless minority ethnic Muslim group in the Rakhine State of Myanmar (Burma). There are an estimated 1 million Rohingya living in Myanmar, and up to another million refugees abroad. They were described by the United Nations in 2013 as one of the most persecuted communities in the world. Stand-up against this genocide! Stand-up for their right to live!
